Michael J. Mejia is an award nominated playwright from Delano, California, and currently lives in LA working as the Development Manager for the Emmy Award winning World of Wonder Productions. He holds an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts. His play, The Book of Andy, received a staged reading through The Great Gay Play contest through Pride Films and Plays in Chicago before receiving a grant from the city of Tacoma for a digital production through the University of Washington, Tacoma, and Dukes Bay Theatre. Feliz: An American Play was a finalist for LTC’s Carnaval of New Latinx Work before receiving a digital production through a grant from the city of Santa Ana in partnership with The Wayward Artist.
